The Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE), Assam has issued two job notifications for the recruitment of 228 Special Educator vacancies in Lower Primary and Upper Primary schools under its department. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications online.
DEE Assam Recruitment 2025
- Lower Primary (LP) Schools: 120
- Upper Primary (UP) Schools: 108
LP: Pay Band – 2 (PB-2) @ Rs. 14,000/- to Rs. 70,000/- plus Grade Pay Rs 7400/-
Eligibility Criteria for DEE Assam Recruitment
Age Limit: Candidates must be at least 18 years old and not more than 40 years for the unreserved category. The upper age limit is 42 years for Ex-Servicemen, 43 years for OBC/MOBC, 45 years for SC/ST(P)/ST(H), and 50 years for Persons with Disability (PwD), as on 1st August 2025.
Small Family Norms: As per Government policy, candidates having more than two living children on or after 01.01.2021, from a single or multiple partners, are not eligible for appointment.
Citizenship: Applicants must be Indian citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India and must be permanent residents of Assam.
Educational Qualification:

Special Educator (LP School):
a) Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks along with a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education), recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
b) Must possess a valid ATET/CTET pass certificate for LP Schools. -
Special Educator (UP School):
a) Graduation with at least 50% marks along with B.Ed. (Special Education), recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
b) Must possess a valid ATET/CTET pass certificate for UP Schools.
Medium of Instruction: For both ATET and CTET qualified candidates, either Language-I or Language-II must match the medium of instruction of the school where the candidate is applying.

Fill in all required personal and educational details and upload the necessary documents.

After submission, an Unique Number will be generated. Keep a printout of this number for future reference.

a. Passport-size photograph.
b. HSLC Admit Card.
c. HSSLC Marksheet and Certificate.
d. Marksheet and Certificate of any higher education (if applicable).
e. B.Ed. in Special Education Marksheet and Certificate (recognized by RCI).
f. Proof of Permanent Residency in Assam.
g. ATET/CTET Certificate and Marksheet.
h. Disability Certificate issued by a Government authority (for PwD candidates).
i. Ex-servicemen Certificate issued by the Director, Sainik Welfare Board.
j. Work experience certificate (if available).
