The Directorate of Secondary Education (DSE), Assam has announced a job notification for the recruitment of 59 Special Educator vacancies in various Provincialized Secondary Schools under its jurisdiction. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online.

Pay Scale: Rs.14,000/- to Rs. 70,000/- and Grade Pay of Rs. 8,700/- PM (PB-2)

Eligibility Criteria of DSE Assam Recruitment
Age Limit: Candidates must be at least 18 years old and not more than 40 years as on 1st January 2025.
Age Relaxation: Upper age relaxation will be applicable as mentioned below –
- OBC/MOBC: 3 years
- SC/ST: 5 years
- Ex-Servicemen: 2 years
- PwD: 10 years
Educational Qualification: Candidates must be Graduate or Post Graduate from a recognized University with a minimum of 50% marks in either Graduation or Post Graduation (or equivalent) and possess a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in Special Education recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). Degrees obtained through off-campus or distance education institutions shall not be considered valid. However, degrees/diplomas awarded by KKHSOU, IGNOU, IDOL under Gauhati University, and Distance Education under Dibrugarh University will be accepted for employment purposes.
Small Family Norms: As per Government policy, candidates having more than two living children on or after 01.01.2021, from a single or multiple partners, will not be eligible for appointment.
Citizenship: Applicants must be Indian citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India and must be permanent residents of Assam.
Employment Exchange Registration: Candidates must have their names registered in an Employment Exchange.
Teachers Eligibility Test cum Recruitment Test: Candidates must appear and qualify in the Teachers Eligibility Test cum Recruitment Test.
Physical Fitness: Applicants for the post of Graduate Teacher –
i. Must be mentally and physically sound and free from any organic defect or bodily infirmity that could affect efficient performance of duties.
ii. Must undergo a medical examination before appointment.
